Can you believe it?? My baby girl is 4 months old!!! We had her doctors appt today and she weighs 14#12oz and is 24 inches long. She falls in the 50% across the board.
She is laughing, talking (cooing), chewing on EVERYTHING including her feet. She is able to roll from her tummy to her back and her back to her tummy in both directions, which means she is rolling all around the house! She wants so bad to crawl and is trying her best. She will push up to full elbow extension when in prone ( does that make sense to non-OT's?) I've been working on visual motor skills and she does well tracking in all directions, and she is fixating and has some convergence!!! And she just loves to stand (with support of course) and has a good beginning on a tripod sit (but hates sitting). Enough with all the boring jargon... She is just beautiful!
As far as eating and sleeping these are all very controversial topics. She is sleeping from about 8:30-6ish (sometimes she will wake up at about 3:30am and eat or just smile and go back to sleep) and she is eating about 4-5 times a day. I'm not yet ready to start solids, and really I do not think she has a good swallow (independent from her suck). So maybe she is not developmentally ready yet either. We will begin that with in the next 2 months though, and I'm sure we will have pictures.
Off to get the rest of my root canal... Yay...
