January 2013

We are half way through the first month in 2013. I am another year older, and Allie is a year and a half! My how the time flies!

For my birthday I celebrated by having my in-laws watch Allie while I tried out a kettle-bell class at the gym (see previous post on New Years Resolutions). Then I enjoyed a solo lunch at Panera...YUM!! For dinner me, Scott, and Allie went to Brio's in Frontenac. It was so good...but Allie was not the best, throwing pizza dough, tearing the paper on the table, and constantly asking to get up...needless to say 1/2 my dinner and dessert were brought home to enjoy after she went to bed :-) on Saturday me, my mom, my sister-in-law, Allie, and my niece all went to Sisters Tea Room in Fenton for lunch. It was quaint and cute. The food was good, nothing spectacular, but the chicken salad hit the spot!

Allie is a year and a half! She is so funny, soaking up everything like a sponge these days! She is using 3 word utterances, "I do it, I touch it, I play you". She likes to throw away trash, and her newest phrase is "oh shoot!". It is so much fun watching her grow up and learn so much. She loves her Papa (grandpa) and anything sweet to eat (just like her momma). She is slowly starting to gain independence, which is frustrating for both her and us...but she is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen. She is still taking a gymnastics class at The Little Gym, where she has been going since 9 months old. This week the teacher told her she could move up whenever she wanted, even though she still has 1/2 a month to meet the age requirements. She is able to jump with 2 feet together, walk across a high skinny balance beam, and swing on the uneven bars all by herself!! My oh my she is growing up too quick!

As for my New Years resolutions...eh...I hit a little personal plateau with weight loss, but I am back on track. I'm only down 1# since the beginning of the year, but I haven't been working very hard, T least it is not a gain! Only 2 pounds until I hit my college weight, and then only 9 more until my high school weight! I can do it...slow and steady!
I hope everyone has an amazing January 2013!
