Landon is 2 months old

2 months! Man time is flying!

This was a big month for everyone. I had to go back to work when Landon was only 6 weeks old. This was so tough. While I was glad to see my coworkers and get back in the swing of things, this continues to be a struggle. The planning and packing for each day is a LOT of work. Bottles made, lunches packed, pump all put together with ice pack, on top of showering/getting everyone breakfast/dressed and out the door at a reasonable time. I have not yet been late to work- but I'm making dad stay home in the mornings and help.  Like parenting in general- there is no way I could do this alone.

Landon is holding his head up when on his belly- pushing off of me with his arms. He has started "cooing" quite a bit and we like to "talk". He has taken interest in the black and white books and will look at them for a few minutes. He is screeching to get attention and smiling/giggling so much! I love it!

As far as sleeping I guess he is doing well- it's no 12 consecutive hours, but I'm to a point where I am getting used to getting up a few times to nurse in the middle of the night. He is swaddled and still in a rock n play next to my bed. I know I need to transition him to his own room/crib. He continues to not want a pacifier- which is TOTALLY opposite from his big sis.

Nursing is going well. Similarly to big sis I am having some "overproduction" issues. Although to don't have a stash of 1000 extra ounces yet- don't have enough time to pump while caring for 2 kiddos- I do have a little freezer stash growing. Earlier this month I had a plugged duct and a milk blister- OUCH! But everything has worked it's way out. Landon REALLY liked bottles once e started daycare, so we had to learn to adjust from bottles to nursing. He would get so fussy while nursing because it wasn't fast enough- but now he is much better. My goal is to make it the full year with nursing! Fingers crossed we are on a roll now!!

Landon weighs 12 pounds 10 oz, is 22 inches long, and just a pure joy to watch grow. (Although I wish he woul slow down a little!) His big sis LOVES to hold him and mess with him- but doesn't like to see him with any toys. I can't wait until he can take a toy back from her ;-) bring on the sibling rivalry!!
